Dr John Bou-Samra
Cardiologist
MBBS | FRACP | FCSANZ
Dr John Bou-Samra is trained as both a Physician and Cardiologist and has been providing high quality specialist cardiology care to patients on the Gold Coast since 1994. He completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland and further completed his advanced training in cardiology at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and Cardiologists and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Sonographer
Grad Dip HlthSc | DMU - CARDIAC
Kirsty is a registered accredited Medical Sonographer – Cardiac (member no. 2901) with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) since 2003
Peta
ECG Technician
Peta has worked with GC HeartCare since it's inception and is an integral part of ensuring our patients are well cared for. Peta brings many skills to her role as not only our ECG technician but she is the "go to" person for her wealth of knowledge ranging from IT through to where the secret stash of wheelchairs are in the hospital. Peta is a favourite of all our patients who love her warm and caring commitment to her role as a member of our team.
Kim
Practice Manager
Kim trained as a Registered Nurse at Ipswich General Hospital, graduating in 1985 before working at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. Following this, Kim moved home to Queensland and completed the Critical Care Certificate at The Royal Brisbane Hospital where she worked in all areas of critical care including Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Neurological Intensive Care, Burns Unit and Accident and Emergency. Through-out these rotations, Kim developed a love of Cardiology and post graduation, she worked for a number of years in the Coronary Care Unit at the The Royal Brisbane Hospital, before moving to the Gold Coast in 1994 where she has been involved in setting up Cardiology practices including GC HeartCare.
Leisa
Secretary
Leisa is our dynamo with the biggest smile in the world and a laugh to match. Her breadth of experience in many different specialties of medical practice makes her an adaptable and knowledgeable member of the team. Leisa came back to work with us after an overseas adventure and our patients have been absolutely delighted to see her lovely smile behind the desk once again. Nothing is ever too much trouble and Leisa always strives to make the patient's experience with us as pleasant and as accommodating as possible.
Danni
Secretary
Danni is our most recent addition to the Admin team and comes with a long list of accomplishments and experience in Cardiology practice in both the clinical setting and testing. Danni is warm and welcoming and always tries to ensure that patient's needs are met, whether it's a glass of water or assistance getting to their mode of transport after an appointment or arranging transport to an appointment. Patients often comment to Dr Bou-Samra about "that lovely girl at the front desk".
